The Ta’ang Civil Society Network (TCSN) released a statement today, April 16, asserting that the PSLF/TNLA sending a congratulatory message to the terrorist leader Min Aung Hlaing is completely contrary to the political aspirations and positions of the TCSN and the Ta’ang people.
“While we can empathize with and understand the military and political crises currently faced by PSLF/TNLA leaders, we wish to state that sending a congratulatory message to the terrorist leader Min Aung Hlaing is merely a political stance based on PSLF/TNLA’s specific circumstances. It does not reflect the political position of the TCSN or the public,” the TCSN statement clarified.
The network further noted that the terrorist military group led by Min Aung Hlaing seized power by arresting and imprisoning political leaders, including State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint, and continues to kill civilians and carry out aerial bombardments.
Additionally, the TCSN presented three demands to the PSLF/TNLA, which include an immediate halt to all collaborations, communications, and congratulatory acts toward Min Aung Hlaing’s terrorist group.
The network also urged the PSLF/TNLA to stand firmly on the path of revolution, out of respect for the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) participants currently serving in the Ta’ang region, as well as the fallen comrades, wounded soldiers, and the general public. Furthermore, they encouraged the leadership to rebuild public trust and work toward a peaceful society built on diversity.
