A coalition of more than 130 domestic and diaspora-based revolutionary organizations, political forces, and civil society organizations issued a joint appeal and invitation on June 28, calling on resistance groups to eschew armed conflict when resolving internal disputes arising during the Spring Revolution. Instead, the coalition urged groups to set a precedent by pursuing political dialogue rooted in egalitarianism and mutual consensus.
The joint statement, titled “Toward Unity and Targeting the Common Enemy,” highlighted critical recommendations for the resistance. It noted that while disagreements and friction among revolutionary forces are natural as the conflict becomes protracted, attempting to resolve these grievances through military force risks stalling the momentum of the revolution and inadvertently prolonging the survival of the ruling military junta.
The declaration emphasized a collective conviction that political equality and mutual respect among revolutionary organizations are indispensable prerequisites for sustaining the movement.
Affirming that “unity is the most potent weapon,” the statement urged all revolutionary and political forces to actively prevent the use of armed force against one another, to ensure human rights violations and infractions are adjudicated through fair accountability mechanisms, and to robustly champion political dialogue.
Furthermore, the coalition called upon intellectuals, academics, and artists to leverage their respective expertise to maintain strategic clarity and foster awareness through online and ground-level advocacy. The general public was also urged to actively participate by widely disseminating the campaign’s slogans, posters, and articles across social media networks and local communities, thereby transforming the “Targeting the Common Enemy and Moving Toward Unity” initiative into a formidable wave of public pressure.
The statement concluded by clarifying that the campaign does not seek to assign blame to any specific faction, but rather aims to foster collective solidarity so that all forces may advance cohesively toward their shared democratic objectives.
